Navigation within a Resource
You can navigate to a specific location in a Text
When capitalized, refers to a primary source in the Accordance Library or Tool When capitalized, refers to a secondary source in the Accordance Library module Any Bible text, or other single tool that can be read in Accordance, including reference texts and articles; may also be referred to as content or resource by tapping the TOC table of contents/Verse Chooser button (
) (top left). The table of contents navigation opens for selecting a specific location in the Text When capitalized, refers to a primary source in the Accordance Library or Tool When capitalized, refers to a secondary source in the Accordance Library.
The style for the Verse Chooser navigation is selected from the button in the top right corner of the Verse Chooser menu. The navigation options are list (
) or grid (
).
The List is used for all Tool When capitalized, refers to a secondary source in the Accordance Library modules, and cannot be changed.
Navigate Text with the Verse Chooser List or Grid
The Verse Chooser List is a hierarchical list of the books in the text.
The Verse Chooser Grid displays a grid with each book in the text.
For both of these Verse Chooser styles:
- Tap a book name to see a list of chapters.
- Tap a chapter to see a list of verses.
- Tap a verse or tap the Verse Chooser button () to jump to that location in the Text When capitalized, refers to a primary source in the Accordance Library.
- Tap the top left button to return to the previous level.
- The current top book, chapter, and verse in the Text When capitalized, refers to a primary source in the Accordance Library view As in Main View, Library View, etc.; relates to any display that takes up the full screen, regardless the device. are highlighted and bookmarked in the Verse Chooser List or Grid.
Navigate Tools with the TOC List
After opening a Tool When capitalized, refers to a secondary source in the Accordance Library via the Library, tap the TOC table of contents button (upper left corner of the Main View). The TOC table of contents List for tools appears.
- Do one of the following:
- Flick through the top level of titles in the list.
- In the Search box, enter the beginning of a word to scroll to that title in the TOC table of contents List.
Note: When searching in the TOC table of contents List, use the Greek or Hebrew keyboard to search for words in those languages.
- Tap an item to go to it in the Main View, with the full tool displayed and any search results highlighted.

If the item has subheadings, an arrow is displayed to the left of the item.

Tap on this arrow to display the subheadings instead of jumping to that point in the tool.
- Tap outside the TOC table of contents list to return to the previous view As in Main View, Library View, etc.; relates to any display that takes up the full screen, regardless the device., or tap the Android Back button (
). - Within an item you see the subheadings with the main heading at the top. Tap the main heading to jump to that item in the Tool When capitalized, refers to a secondary source in the Accordance Library.
- Navigate the subheading section in the same manner, by clicking consecutive arrows.
