Select Hit List Tab Dialog Box
Use: The Select hit list tab dialog box is used to choose the tab with the desired hit list for the HITS search command. The selected tab substitutes the list of words for the search results from another Search tab
The core tab used to search Bible texts, it consists of a search entry area and a search results area (or source).
Prerequisite to opening
- Cursor is in the Search Entry box of a Search Tab for grammatically tagged text, with search set to Words.
- A Construct tab is open.
To open the Select hit list tab dialog box, do one of the following:
- In the Search Entry box, right-click and choose Enter Command>Hits from the shortcut menu Also known as a contextual menu, acessed by right-clicking (or pressing Ctrl+Click, Mac only) over a screen element.
- On the Search menu, choose Enter Command>Hits.
- In the Search Entry box, press Shift+

- List of Open Tabs: Displays a list of open tabs from which the desired Hit list is selected.
- If a scroller The control you drag in the scroll bar and arrows appear, use them to scroll through the list.
- Click a tab name to select it.
- Dialog box for key numbered text: Available modifiers are Words and Key Numbers.
- Words: Only the selected tab name appears with the command; for example, [HITS GNT-T]. The search argument uses the list of words from the source tab.
- Key Numbers: The k modifier appears with the command; for example, [HITS=k KJVS]. The search argument uses the list of Key numbers from the source tab.
- Dialog box for grammatically tagged text: Available modifiers are Lemmas, Words, and Tags.
- Lemmas: Only the selected tab name appears with the command; for example, [HITS BHS-W4]. The search argument uses the list of words (lemmas) from the source tab.
- Words: The i (inflected) modifier appears with the command; for example, [HITS=i BHS-W4]. The search argument uses the list of inflected word forms from the source tab.
- Tags: The t (tags) modifier appears with the command; for example, [HITS=t GNT-T]. The search argument uses the list of all tags from the source tab.

OK: Enters the selected inflected forms in the Search Entry box (at the insertion point), or inserts the element in a column of the Construct tab.
