Work with the Analytics Zone and Tabs

The main features of the Analytics zone and tabs are described below. Other features of the Analytics zone are similar to zones for other tabs.

Analytics tabs always open in a separate zone that is associated with the source Search tabClosed The core tab used to search Bible texts, it consists of a search entry area and a search results area. Analytics tabs can only share a zone with Analytics tabs from the same Search tab; they cannot be mixed with any other tabs.

 

The Analytics ZoneThe Analytics Zone

The Analytics zone is similar to zones for other types of tabs.

  • Each Analytics zone initially appears with one tab filling the available area.
  • The zone title reflects the Search tab to which it belongs.
  • Click Add () and choose the details item to open in a new tab.
  • An Analytics tab can be converted to an independent workspace.
  • Simply right-click the tab label and choose Detach Tab, or press Ctrl+Alt+T).
  • The detached tab remains linked to its parent Search tab.
  • You can merge a detached tab into another Analytics zone with other Analytics tabs belonging to the same Search tab. Simply click and drag the tab or Zone title and drop the tab into the desired Analytics zone.
  • You can set the default tab that opens when an Analytics zone is initially opened via the Search Tabs area of the Preferences dialog box.
  • By default, only Hits Graph is checked for new users, but users who upgrade from an early version may find that none of these are checked initially.

  • Analytics zones and tabs remain "linked" to the parent Search tab and relate to the entire search result. They can be opened only when the Search tab displays search results.
  • The Analytics tabs are automatically updated whenever the Search tab content changes, and automatically closes when the parent Search tab is closed.

Printing and SavingPrinting and Saving

  • Analytics tabs cannot be saved and reopened as independent files in Accordance. However, when a Search tab is saved, any open Analytics tabs are saved and recalled with it.
  • The text of an Analysis, Concordance, or Table tab can be printed or saved as a text file.
  • You can save a Graph or Chart tab in JPEG or PNG format, and then print the picture.

  • Although each tab is automatically updated when there are new search results, you may want to have more than one tab of the same type, with different display characteristics, such as different analyses of the results. Click Add () to add a new tab to the zone.
  • You can create a new workspace with the same Search and Analytics zones (File>Duplicate).
  • You can create a duplicate Analytics tab by choosing File>Duplicate Tab.
  • In some cases, there may be more tabs open than can be displayed in the Analytics zone. Click the Previous () or Next () buttons to choose the tab you want to display.
