Grid Spacing area: The pop-up menus in this area are used to set the size of the grid to which objects "snap" when selected and moved using the arrow keys.

  • You can set both the Horizontal and the Vertical grid lines using the pop-up menus.
  • Large horizontal spacing is helpful for arranging objects or words in columns.

Number of Pages area: The Horizontal and Vertical boxes are used to define additional pages for creating a particularly wide or long diagram. The numbers in each box indicate the number of additional pages available for the diagram in the horizontal or vertical direction. When the diagram is printed, the pages may not be needed or used, but the document will print the extra pages.

Text Options area: Items here define the appearance of text on the diagram.

  • Text size Pop-up Menu: Used to set the font size for new text objects.
  • View all text in black: When selected, all colors in the diagram are displayed in black, to approximate the effect when printed in black.

Options area: Items here affect other parts of the diagram.

  • Show color key: When selected, a Color Key is displayed under the Symbol palette in the Diagram tab.
  • Print all text in black: When selected, all colors are ignored while printing. This is useful when printing to black-and-white printers, which attempt to render colors in shades of gray unless this item is selected.

Colors for parts of speech area: The two columns are used to set the colors for parts of speech in Greek and Hebrew. To change the color in which a particular part of speech is displayed, choose a new color from the appropriate pop-up menu.
