Menu Item Shortcuts

Most of the keyboard shortcuts below are also accessible via the menu bar or shortcut menus. For convenience, items not available in the menus, but with related functions are also included. For example, all shortcut keys related to amplifyClosed To select words or a reference and search for the selection in the text or tool of your choice. You can select the resource in the Library or Amplify menus. Ctrl+Alt+L Open the Select Root Forms dialog box for choosing and entering a rootClosed A root is a unit of a language that cannot be further divided, from which words are derived by modification. The root does not necessarily survive as a word in itself. The Accordance roots may combine homographs and therefore a single root may include roots with different etymologies and meanings. In Hebrew, by convention, the lexical form (lemma) of a verb is the same as the root. form in the Search Entry box

You can also use the mouse and these additional shortcuts to quickly perform certain Amplify actions. In the table below, Amplify means to select text and then click on a resource (moduleClosed Any Bible text, or other single tool that can be read in Accordance, including reference texts and articles; may also be referred to as content or resource) via the Amplify menu or the Library.

Open the first Greek, Hebrew, or English dictionary, or search them all if the first search does not find the word or the first dictionary in which the word is found

Open the first lexicon for that language (which supports those Key numbers)
