Amplify
Amplify is a specific term used in Accordance meaning, "to select a word or reference and find it in another resource Any Bible text, or other single tool that can be read in Accordance, including reference texts and articles; may also be referred to as content or module, without losing your place in the first resource Any Bible text, or other single tool that can be read in Accordance, including reference texts and articles; may also be referred to as content or module." In the Accordance app Amplifying is similar to a triple-click in Accordance (on Mac or Windows).
- To Amplify, Tap and hold (long tap) on a word or reference to open the Instant Details.
- Tap Amplify to open the Amplify options. Amplify options will differ based on the Text When capitalized, refers to a primary source in the Accordance Library or Tool When capitalized, refers to a secondary source in the Accordance Library type.
- Tap the Search button () in the new resource Any Bible text, or other single tool that can be read in Accordance, including reference texts and articles; may also be referred to as content or module to modify the search or select another module Any Bible text, or other single tool that can be read in Accordance, including reference texts and articles; may also be referred to as content or resource in the same category to search.

tap the Back button () at the bottom right of the display to return to the original resource Any Bible text, or other single tool that can be read in Accordance, including reference texts and articles; may also be referred to as content or module.
Amplify from… goes to?
When amplifying, the resource Any Bible text, or other single tool that can be read in Accordance, including reference texts and articles; may also be referred to as content or module that opens depends on your selection. In each case if the word is not found in the top module Any Bible text, or other single tool that can be read in Accordance, including reference texts and articles; may also be referred to as content or resource (in that category in the Library), Accordance searches for the next one of that type until the selection is found. Each field of the content is searched, so the word may be found in the Contents rather than the Entry itself.
In general amplifying from...
- any word without "tagging" opens the top dictionary of that language (English, Greek, or Hebrew).
- a word with a Key number opens the related Key number dictionary. You can choose to search for the Word, Key Number or Lexeme.
- a grammatically tagged original word opens the top lexicon. You can search for the Lexeme, Inflected form, or Root.
- a verse reference in a Text When capitalized, refers to a primary source in the Accordance Library opens the top commentary.
- a verse reference in a Tool When capitalized, refers to a secondary source in the Accordance Library opens the top Bible text with the additional pane last used with it.
