Arrange Panes

You can arrange panes for a display arrangement that best meets your needs. This includes adjusting their width, moving them next to different panes, changing them to a horizontal display, and closing them when you are done.

When new panes are opened:

Change Pane WidthChange Pane Width

The width of a pane can be changed at any time. As the cursor moves over the line that divides the panes, the cursor changes into a two-headed arrow . You can then drag the divider to a new position.

Hint

Changing the width of a pane is useful for lining up the verses between texts that are viewed in different fonts or have significantly different translations.

Move PanesMove Panes

  • Drag on the empty portion of the Pane bar to move the pane to another position or section of the workspace.
  • Any pane can be toggled between the upper and lower rows via the Pane bar Action pop-up menu (Action pop-up menu: Provides additional options ). Click the Actions button and choose Move Up or Move Down to move the pane to the top or bottom row.
  • If at least two panes are open in one row, and one pane in the second row, press Opt+Click on the Pane Position button to move the pane to the left of the other row, instead of the right.

Display All Horizontal PanesDisplay All Horizontal Panes

  • Click Pane Position (Click this button to change orientation of the pane or Instant Details) on the Hit Options bar to switch all open panes to a horizontal arrangement. This is helpful when you want to read one verse or line at a time in many versions.

    • Note the Pane bar moves to the left and does not include the Pane Position button.
    • Panes can be moved around as detailed above.
    • When the panes are returned to the usual arrangement (using the Pane Position button), the new relative position of each pane is preserved.
