Amplify to Speech

Amplifying to speech lets you hear any selected text using Apple's text-to-speech technology. You can amplify To select words or a reference and search for the selection in the text or tool of your choice. You can select the resource in the Library or Amplify menus. A triple-click is a shortcut which amplifies to the top tool of the relevant category. to speech any English, Spanish, Hebrew, Greek, or Arabic text.

1. Select a few words in a text. For example, select all words in Genesis 2:7 of the KJVS.
2. On the Amplify To select words or a reference and search for the selection in the text or tool of your choice. You can select the resource in the Library or Amplify menus. A triple-click is a shortcut which amplifies to the top tool of the relevant category. menu, choose Language>Speech. The selected text is read out loud.

The voice can be changed in the Speech area of the Preferences dialog box.

Note You can quickly access the Speech command via the Workspace toolbar; simply add the Speech () or Language Tools () buttons to it.
