Highlighting in Tools
You can highlight a selection or your hits in any Tool pane in the same way as in Text panes.
- Only word highlighting is available in Tools.
- The highlight is displayed only in the same Tool to which it was applied.
- If desired, you can hide highlighting in Tools via the Set Tool Display dialog box, or the Preferences dialog box (Tool Display area).

Warning Highlighting in Tools is accurate only for as long as the Tool remains unedited. If a new release of the Tool has a different number of paragraphs, any previous highlighting following the point of change will be displaced. Similarly, if the number of words in a paragraph changes, subsequent highlighting is also displaced. We recommend avoiding a major time investment in highlighting a Tool, especially those Tools which are still works in progress and which will definitely undergo major changes in a future release. |
