Print the Map

The Atlas tab can be printed just as it appears in the display (File>Print). Rotated labels should print cleanly on a PostScript printer, but may appear ragged on other printers.

Hint If rotated names do not print correctly, try removing the Geographic names layer, copy the map to a drawing program such as AppleWorks, and add the names you need in that application.

 

An Atlas tab often prints over more than one page. To print on one page you can:

• Resize the tab to a smaller size.
• In the Page Setup dialog box (File>Page Setup) choose "landscape" rather than "portrait" orientation.
• In the Print Settings dialog box (File>Print Settings), reduce the page margins.
• In the Print Settings dialog box (File>Print Settings), select Scale graphics to page.
• If you have a high resolution screen display (large number of pixels), the map looks smaller on screen than it does when printed.
