The Text Browser Tab
The Text Browser tab displays multiple translations of a verse. The Text Browser tab is opened by selecting it as the default view for Live Click, or opened as a separate tab from the Amplify
To select words or a reference and search for the selection in the text or tool of your choice. You can select the resource in the Library or Amplify menus. A triple-click is a shortcut which amplifies to the top tool of the relevant category. menu and from the right-click Look Up submenu. The Text Browser can be linked to another Text tab (Search, Reference List, or Context) to show the top verse in all available translations or a predefined group of translations.
To open the Text Browser tab, do one of the following:
- In a Text tab, place the cursor in a verse or verse reference and from the menu bar choose Amplify>Text Browser.
- In a Text tab, right-click a verse reference and choose Look Up>Text Browser.
- In a Text tab, click on a verse reference (when Select Text Browser is selected as the default Live Click Verse Lookup option).
- In a Tool tab, click any reference (when Text Browser Tab is selected in the Web & Text Browser Preference pane).

Display settings are available for each of the Texts displayed in the Text Browser.

Saving the Contents of the Text BrowserSaving the Contents of the Text Browser
The contents of the Text Browser can be saved to a text file, either as Plain Text or RTF.
- Click in the Text Browser tab make it the active The application, window, tab, or other screen element which is currently being used; sometimes called the "front" or "frontmost" screen element tab.
- On the File menu, choose Save All Panes As Text File and select either Plain Text or RTF. The standard Save dialog box appears.
- In the Save dialog box, proceed as follows:
- Enter a name for the file.
- Navigate to the location where you want the file saved.
- Click Save. The file is saved in either an RTF or Plain Text format.

Note RTF (Rich Text Format) will preserve the formatting of the text in the Text Browser tab. Plain Text will remove all formatting. |
Printing the Contents of the Text BrowserPrinting the Contents of the Text Browser
The contents of the Text Browser tab can be printed.
- Click in the Text Browser tab make it the active tab.
- On the File menu, choose File>Print. The standard Print dialog box appears.
- Select print options and click Print.

Note Printing always prints the entire contents of the Text Browser tab, whether there is a selected pane or not, and whether the Print Settings dialog specifies to print only one pane or not. |
More about the Text Browser
- If the entire book for a specific Text does not exist, it will not be displayed in the Text Browser.
